Erik Schraga, MD, ABEM
I am a board-certified physician and concierge medicine doctor practicing at CrescendoMD in Portola Valley, California.
My background in emergency medicine — including serving as Chair of Emergency Medicine at Mills-Peninsula Medical Center — gives me a diagnostic range and comfort with complexity that most primary care physicians don't develop in a career. I trained at Emory University School of Medicine, completed an internal medicine internship at the University of Washington, and did my emergency medicine residency at UCLA.
I founded Bay Mobile Care, a mobile urgent care practice through which I refined the ability to manage complex medical conditions outside of a traditional clinical setting. Over years of in-home practice I developed the skills and systems to handle cases that would typically require an emergency room visit — IV therapy, advanced wound care, acute illness management, diagnostic workup — delivered privately, in the comfort of a patient's home. That experience directly shapes how I practice today: I bring an emergency physician's capabilities and instincts to every house call, extending the boundaries of what concierge medicine can actually deliver.
I serve as a Chief Editor for Medscape/WebMD, and have been recognized for clinical teaching at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Today my practice focuses on advanced cardiovascular risk, metabolic health, and longevity medicine — caring for a select panel of individuals and families in Silicon Valley and beyond.
My patients are executives, investors, and families who want a physician who thinks ahead, communicates directly, and is reachable when it matters.
